Gelling fiber dressing with the strength to lock away exudate
Biatain® Fiber with HexaLock Technology is a soft, sterile primary wound dressing with integrated strength. It is made of a unique combination of absorbing CMC fibers and strengthening fibers, which lock in exudate and bacteria in a reinforced hexagon net to reduce exudate pooling for optimal healing conditions.
- Absorbs and retains exudate and bacteria, thereby reducing exudate pooling
- Minimal shrinkage to reduce risk of gap creation and exudate pooling
- Cohesive gel for easy one-piece removal1 with minimal risk of leaving residue in the wound
Usage
Biatain® Fiber is intended for managing moderate to highly exuding, sloughy, and cavity wounds, including undermining, and supports autolytic debridement and de-sloughing, which promotes the wound healing process. Biatain® Fiber is indicated for acute and chronic wounds such as diabetic ulcers, leg ulcers (arterial ulcers, venous ulcers and leg ulcers of mixed aetiology), pressure ulcers (stage II-IV), exudate absorption in oncology wounds, traumatic wounds, partial thickness burns, donor sites and post-operative surgical wounds. Biatain® Fiber can stay in the wound up to 7 days.
